Congratulations to Richard Tulloch, who has been crowned Club Champion for the 2025–2026 season — a great achievement and very well deserved after a strong year of golf.

We’d also like to say well done to all prize winners from the 2024–2025 season. There was some great golf played throughout the year and plenty of close competitions.

Thanks to everyone who took part in club events over the season, and we’re looking forward to another enjoyable year ahead at New Galloway Golf Club.

Dumfries Blood Bikes – Brian Porteous Memorial

The Brian Porteous Memorial was a special day at New Galloway Golf Club, bringing people together to remember Brian and support a charity close to the Porteous family.

The chosen charity was Dumfries Blood Bikes, selected by Erica Porteous. This amazing volunteer-run service helps transport blood and medical supplies across the region, providing vital support to the NHS. Find out more about this service here.

Thanks to the generosity of members and supporters, £400 was raised for Dumfries Blood Bikes. Every pound makes a difference and helps them continue their important work.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and supported the event — your kindness and support meant a lot.

  • Captains Day 2024

    Captains Day 2024

Captains Day 2024 was a brilliant day at New Galloway Golf Club, with plenty of good golf, good company, and great support from everyone who took part. The course was busy, the atmosphere was fantastic, and it was great to see so many members getting involved.

Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised a total of £2,329.60 on the day. The money was split between the Captain’s Charity, the Army Benevolent Fund, and New Galloway Golf Club, helping support both a fantastic cause and the club itself.

A huge thank you to everyone who played, helped out, donated, or supported the day in any way. It was a real team effort and a day to remember.
