What a busy week at the club with plenty of members working hard on and around the course and the results are there for all to see. On Saturday the ladies help their singles open. With a big entry our own members where the compeditors who came to the fore. In the bronze division the winner was one of our new members, Jannetts Davidson with 31 points. Weekly News – Monday 7th August 2017

This week the ladies played their August medal and the scoring proved to be exceptional. Two ladies returned scores under 70, Erica Porteous shot net 69 but the winner was new member Gill Warnock who scored a brilliant net 66. Alas the gents were not so lucky, playing for the MacMillan Scratch trophy those out in the morning returned some super scores the best from Dick Tulloch who shot a great 70 scratch. However, due to the greens flooding from heavy rain in the afternoon, the competition was abandoned. The gents will now replay this competition on Sunday 20th August…

On Saturday the course was buzzing with the sound of junior golfers receiving expert tuition from Ross Murdoch one of the professionals from Dumfries and Galloway who, courtesy of the Kirkcubright Golfers Association will deliver coaching for the next three Saturdays. Wednesday was the second round of the ladies Harebell Trophy. This was keenly fought over the two rounds. On Wednesday the winner was Elena Rogers with 36 points and a grand total for the two rounds of 68. Elena takes the trophy thanks to her second round score from Marena McClymont who finished the two round with the same…

Over the last two weeks the course has been busy with visitors and members playing ties. The last sixteen round of the club championship is now almost complete and with one game to be played, Alex Long, David Nielsen, Tony Graham, Ian Brown, Richard Tulloch, Scott Jamieson & Ronnie Ritchie are through to the quarter finals. We are now into July and the year just seems to be flying by. Once again the course has been busy with members playing their knockout ties and visitors. On Saturday the junior coaching was well attended and thanks go to the 4 coaches who gave up their time to help the youngsters. Weekly News – Monday 26th June 2017

On Saturday we held one of the highlights of the club's season, Captains Day. What an exhilarating day was had by all. The day began early with Dave's Fledgelings playing a 6 hole tournament, this was followed by the main event for the Jack McQueen Quaich. Following some excellent food and a putting competition with the contestants being our juniors and their parents, the day closed with the prize giving and a raffle, which raised over £140 for the junior funds.
