Another medal this week. They certainly come thick and fast at this time of year. A beautiful, clear sunny day for our second maximum score medal. We liked it so much, we ran it again. And it didn’t even rain!

We also had some 9 hole participants this time. So 10 of us set out for 18 holes and 2 went for the 9 hole option.

With all the fine weather, the greens have sped up a fair bit since last week. This made for some interesting putting (this is my excuse and I’m sticking to it).

Others had a great time in the clement weather. There was a two this week from newly-returned Jackie. I didn’t get all the details, but I believe it was a special chip in on the 4th hole for the glory & riches. She was certainly on a roll as she also emerged victorious in the 18 hole medal. A winning return indeed.

In the 9 hole medal, obviously continuing her form from Winter League success, Marena took the honours.

Opinions varied amongst my group on the best way to re-fuel mid-round…

Frankly, it didn’t last long enough to need a trolley holder.

I was just itching to get back to the club house for the cake…

And to be blunt, this week my baking was far better than my golf. Roll on the Glenkens Salver greensomes next week!
