Visitor Information
Visitors Welcome
Firstly, the Club welcomes visitors to play and enjoy our course. We are located in the Glenkens area in Kirkcudbrightshire in South West Scotland.
On arrival you will find an open car park leading to a traditional clubhouse circa 1910 style. We are a small club with around 100 members from the local community. We are the epitome of the rural Scottish Golf Club and need the support of visitors.
Visitors will find the course uncongested giving them time to soak in the atmosphere and view the surrounding hills right round the course. The course is challenging but on the other hand it is most unlikely that you will experience following golfers chasing you around. Do not be alarmed by kites whistling above you. The course is suitable for golfers of all abilities and is especially suitable for up and coming golfers. There are no bunkers on any of our 9 holes. The club house is not normally manned.
Parties intending to play should advise the Secretary either by phone to the club (redirected to his home) or preferably by using the Book a Tee time below.
An honesty system is in operation where players turn up, make your entry in the book provided and place your green fee in the box You may be requested to show your ticket on the course.
There are changing facilities with toilets, but no showers.
Three Buggies are for hire by contacting the greenkeeper or Secretary.
Golfers may play at any time. Club competitions are played on Wednesday mornings during the summer, Saturday and Sunday mornings.
