Seniors Scramble April 2021

Four teams of four played a Florida Scramble on a chilly rainy day. It was said that it was anything but Florida weather. Opening Day 2021

What a difference a day makes! After a hot bath and shedding a few tears, can I congratulate Vice-Captain Walker and his team on their win. It was a crushing defeat for my team but I am already plotting revenge for next year. I have already been practicing my putting with the wooden spoon and figuring out how to nobble Janette and Bobby. Seniors League 27:2021

Seniors League 27:2021 Little did I consider when playing on this sunny spring day, albeit with a chilly wind, that I was playing with the eventual winners Brian Porteous and Ian McIlvenna both scoring 30 points. Brian secured first place with a better inward half of 14 from Ian and Derek also on 30 points. Wave came fourth with 29 points. It was marvellous to see Ian McIlvenna and Derek Shipley grace the hallowed ground yesterday. Obviously their presence led to a great score.There are 4 more meetings in April. Ladies Winter League 27 Feb & 6 Mar

Two weeks of glory to catch up on... First up 27th February, where 6 of us trooped out to do Winter League battle. After a long gap, someone finally got a two! Hurrah for Elizabeth. And hopefully she returns from the Caribbean in time for our next fixture <joke obvs> Both Elena and Elizabeth had terrific blob-free rounds. Well now, this boy is getting out of hand with his handicap now reduced by seven shots. Well done Rex with 31 points (only 1 point on the Firs second time round) to win.
